Job Hunt, Continuing Education and CoronaVirus

Well, the world has definitely changed in the past few months. The closure of businesses and self-quarantine has personally felt like a never-ending episode of the Walking Dead. Applying for jobs has also been a different kind of challenge, as everything is remote and that pool is much deeper and full of competition.
I graduated from Flatiron School at the beginning of the pandemic. However, I also had a relapse of a rare autoimmune blood disorder at the same time and spent a week in the hospital. After being released and some recovering time, it was back to work from home.
I wanted to sharpen back up my skills and stay fresh on the last and favorite topics of study and therefore have been taking online React courses and React Native courses and working on my own projects and portfolio website.
I have been working with my career coach, following all of her networking advice and applying for remote work when I find entry-level development positions that suit me. I am becoming more confident in my engineering skills and my ability to talk about my abilities.
My next challenge is to master networking, as most jobs out there are found through word of mouth and are not simply posted online.
